A dog walker’s story from Sandbach
One of the really lovely parts of being a dog walker in Sandbach is getting to watch dogs grow up.

When you walk the same dog week after week, you become part of their routine and their life. Over time you see them change from tiny puppies into the dogs they become.
I started walking Miela, a Golden Retriever, when she was just 12 weeks old. She was a tiny puppy with huge paws, endless enthusiasm, and absolutely no intention of listening to anything I had to say.

Fast forward 2½ years and not much has changed.

Recall has never really been her thing.

She loves every human and every dog she meets with her whole heart, and when she plays… she plays hard.

She’s full of character, completely chaotic at times, and a 100% bundle of love.

For me, this is one of the most rewarding parts of providing dog walks in Sandbach.
Watching puppies grow into confident adult dogs and being part of their routine is something really special.

Due to a change of circumstances, this week was our last regular walk together. It feels very sad knowing I won’t see that golden blur racing around the field a couple of times a week.

Moments like this remind me that being a Sandbach dog walker isn’t just about exercise and routine. It’s about building relationships with the dogs you care for and being part of their lives as they grow.
Watching puppies grow into the dogs they become is one of the best parts of this job. Saying goodbye is definitely one of the hardest.
I’m really going to miss you, Miela.
If you’ve ever had a dog that left a big impression on you, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

Building relationships with the dogs I walk is a really important part of what I do. Spending years walking dogs like Miela and watching them grow from puppies into adults is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
